The unincorporated community of Pinewood Estates, TX, is located in southern Hardin County, along State Highway 105 just west of Bevil Oaks. Pinewood Estates covers 13.2 square miles of land, home to a population of less than 2,000 people.
Most of the area consists of open, rural land that surrounds a sizable residential subdivision. Pine Island Bayou cuts through the center of Pinewood Estates, intersecting Clemmons Gully. Idylwild Golf Club is centrally located within the community as well, offering fairways that weave their way around adjacent homes. Black Creek runs across the far northeast corner of Pinewood Estates, through largely undeveloped land. Sour Lake is just five miles down the road for basic services and amenities.
